While out running this morning, I came upon this guy enjoying a little breakfast in someone’s front yard.
He’s just a little teenage moose! 😉
This is not an uncommon occurrence for me since living in Alaska:
Monday Morning’s Moose Sightings
There’s a Moose in my Neighborhood (sorry the pictures are SUPER dark!)
I usually don’t carry my camera on a run, but I was just a few minutes into my run when I saw this moose. I immediately thought, “I should run back home and get my camera so I can take a picture for the blog!”
Oh, the life of a blogger. Look at what I do for you guys. 😉
Today’s Workout
Distance: 6 miles
Time: 50 minutes
It was so nice being able to run in the daylight this morning AND temperatures in the upper 20s. Baby steps, folks. I’ve gotta take what I can get!
This was a recovery run for me after running 9 miles yesterday morning and 90 minutes of yoga last night! Thankfully my legs felt quite good!

Question
What was the most exciting thing you saw on your most recent run?
I saw a pair of underwear in the road yesterday!
My most recent run today, I saw everyone and their mother. But lat October, I saw bears and that was the most scary thing on my run ha.
More than one??
Love that moose! On last weekends hot run I saw the first snake of the season. Eeeew!
A MOOSE?!? That is amazing. I have seen deer a few times. But a moose is way cooler. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
How pretty!
I don’t normally see anything interesting on my runs. Maybe a slug or two.
I remember hiking outside Portland and see huge (banana ?) slugs!
Supposedly, there are a lot of moose in Vermont too but I have yet to see one on a run. I’m so scared of seeing them while driving!
A few months ago, I did see a wolf on my run (from a distance, but he was staring straight at me). At the time, I wasn’t sure it was a wolf but my neighbor confirmed one had been seen on our street. Yikes!
about once or twice a week, i see this guy on his bike on my runs. it’s not too weird, but he’s in his 20s and always wears camouflage…he just always seems a little interesting. and creepy. definitely creepy. especially because he just stops and plays with the things in his backpack for awhile before continuing on his way….
oooo. . . that does sound creepy!!
Omg, I can’t imagine! I’m originally from the country, but still freak out a little when I run across a deer on the trail I use!
Wow, that is awesome
