Sunshine is my Friend

You have no idea how much this sunshine brightens my day! I makes me feel like a new person! :)

I have desperately missed the warmth of the sunshine during all the cold, cloudy, dark days of winter!

We are at nearly 15 hours of daylight already, and we still have 2 more months of gaining daylight! It changes quickly when you are gaining nearly 6 minutes of daylight each day! That’s more than half an hour each week!

Today’s sunrise - 6:35 a.m.

(When I’ve been starting my runs—around 5:45 a.m.—a hint of light can be seen in the sky. :) )

Today’s sunset – 9:26 p.m.

(It is still light out when I go to bed!)

For comparison, check out these posts about the lack of daylight through our winter months.

Sunrise, Sunset (October 6)

Diminishing Daylight (October 25)

Daylight Savings (November 6)

Don’t Go (December 1)

Shortest Day of the Year (December 21)

Still Dark (February 10)

I enjoyed a hot, creamy bowl of oatmeal this morning for breakfast. (Honestly, there is oatmeal under all those topping!)

This bowl of oatmeal was extra creamy because I used Scottish oats instead of old-fashioned oats. A bowl of oatmeal would not be complete without a dollop of crunchy peanut butter!

  1. That fruit bowl is beautiful. The colors are so rich and pretty. It looks so delicious as well.

The highlight of my weekend was running my first half marathon. I was so excited to finish.

I’m glad the sun is hitting your parts. I love how much daylight we have been getting too! :)
