Spring Break Highlights

Today is my last day of spring break, and then it is back to the grind tomorrow. πŸ™

It has been a wonderful week filled with free items, time with the hubby, action in the kitchen, and just relaxing!!

Here are some highlights from my week:

Homemade Bread

I cannot get enough of this stuff!! I literally cannot stop eating it. It is so soft, moist, and simply melts in my mouth!

Check out my tutorial on making this yourself.

Free Doughnuts and Coffee

Yoga with Craig

We went to a Bikram class at Anchorage Yoga and both loved it! I am still sore two days later!!

Discovering Many New Blogs

I think I added about 35 new blogs to my bookmarks including:

Dine and Dash

Once Upon a (L)ime

Running Foodie

~~~~~~~
Sweatin’ it Out
This week was kind of a recovery week from being sick, so I didn’t run as much as I was planning.
My mileage from this past week:
Monday: rest
Tuesday: 8 miles + 30 minutes of weight lifting
Wednesday: 5 miles
Thursday: 9 miles + 40 minutes of weight lifting
Friday: 5 miles + 90 minutes of yoga
Saturday: 6 miles
Sunday: 4 miles
Total: 37 miles
~~~~~~~

My New Favorite Dish

Thai Peanut Tofu Noodles

This will definitely be made again this next week; I am already excited!!

~~~~~~~~
I’m very thankful for all the extra time I had this past week because I actually had time to do our taxes, 3 weeks worth of laundry, cleaning projects, time to try new recipes, and all those odd jobs that take a back burner when I am working.
I’m off to enjoy the last few hours of the evening, and then I will be hitting the sack. See you tomorrow and don’t forget about The Bachelor finale tomorrow night!
Question
What was the highlight of your weekend?
Hi, I'm Michelle
I love running around the lakes of Minnesota, running after my two boys, and racing anything from the 5K to the marathon. I have been blogging here since 2010 when I ran my first marathon. I finally secured my sub-3 hour marathon after trying for 8 years.
    Homemade bread chased with free donuts and yoga sounds pretty spectacular.
    The highlight of my weekend was definitely having my mom in town to do lots of running and eating with me!
    The bread looks delicious! I love having weeks off (I’m a nanny so I get off when the kids have off)…but getting back into the swing of things is so hard. Love your blog πŸ™‚
    Thanks for the shout out, man. Those noodles look like they need to be implemented in my carb-loading routine for this weekend. Yes please!
    Thanks for the shout-out! I’m jealous that you were on Spring Break last week – I have 3 more weeks until we get time off!
