My Birthday + Spring Break

Thank you for all the well-wishes for my birthday today!

I will be celebrating with Craig tomorrow since he had to fly to Fairbanks for work today. :(

We have some fun plans, so stay tuned to hear about our outings!! I believe my favorite restaurant will be involved!! :)

Not only is it my birthday today, but it was also the last day of school for the week! I have to do grades tomorrow, but then next week is spring break!!

We don’t have any special plans—we aren’t traveling anywhere at least—but I am more than excited to have a week off of school!

I just wish the weather was a little more spring-like. :-? However, it is staying lighter longer in the evenings, which definitely makes me happy. :)

I am still under the weather, so no running for me today again. However, I might try running 5 miles tomorrow morning.

Often I will continue to run even with a head cold, but I’ve been pretty exhausted in the evenings after a full day of teaching this week, so I’ve decided to lay low for a while. Plus I want to be nice and healthy for a lot of running next week during spring break! :)

  1. Happy Birthday!!!!!!

I think it’s great you are looking forward to running over break; I am really looking forward to spring cleaning. Or really – just cleaning out the office. It’s a disaster.

  2. I have a cold right now too and haven’t been running this week. I used to just suck it up and run anyway but sometimes I think it is better to rest now and then. :)

Have a great birthday weekend!! All those restaurants you blog about sound so good!

    • Yeah, I think teaching on top of being sick doesn’t help either because teaching p.e. is especially exhausting–you have to be active/involved/alert the entire time with the kids!

  3. Happy birthday girl! Also, that is so exciting to have a week to relax and run and bake and be spontaneous! You deserve it as a teacher. My bf is a teacher too so I know how hard you all work!

    Hope you feel better :)
