Black Friday shopping is in full swing. I started doing some shopping already, and I’m sure you have as well. I’ve complied some of my favorite running deals in this blog post–everything from my Garmin watch that is $300 off, a warm running vest on sale, as well as some of my favorite jeans and sweater from Target. At the end of the blog post, I included my discount codes for Beam, Liquid IV, and Inside Tracker, so be sure to check them all out.
We’re getting closer to finding a place of our own to live (We are currently still living with my parents.), so I’ll have an entire house to furnish here soon. I plan to take advantage of some of these Black Friday deals for kitchen utensils and appliances, bedding, home furnishings, TV, and pretty much anything and everything because we sold it all before we moved from Alaska to Minnesota.
Honestly, I was hoping to have this blog post out a couple days ago but such is life, right?! I do want to let you know that these links are commissionable, so I do make a small amount of money off of them. Thank you if you do use my link to make a purchase–it means a lot when you help support my business and family in this way.
Saucony
Saucony has some of their best-sellers on sale for 50% off, including the Endorphin Pro 2 for $100 and Endorphin Speed 2 for $80. The Pro is Saucony’s carbon-plated shoe whereas the Speed is the Pro without a carbon plate. I love using the Speed for tempo and marathon-paced workouts, and then I save the Pro for race day.
Target
My crewneck sweater (pictured below) is currently on sale for $12, and it comes in a ton of colors. These hooded gloves that can turn from a glove into a mitten look exactly like a pair from lululemon, and they are on sale for $10.20.
Garmin
My running GPS watch is $300 off right now, which is a steal! If you have been looking to upgrade your watch or want to treat yourself, I’d highly recommend doing it now. It was this time last year when I got my watch, and I rarely see this watch go on sale, so grab it now! The watch does have a lot of bells and whistles, is user-friendly, and has a lot of running-specific features.
Backcountry
I love that Backcountry has a little bit of everything for the outdoors person: camping to hiking to running to casual wear.
These Sorel boots are ones I got last year, and they are currently 25% off. They are cute, practical, waterproof, and warm for winter walks and running errands. My tunic sweater is also 25% off
And I can’t forget about all my favorite Skida products at Backcountry that are 20 – 70% off: headbands, hats, neck warmers.
Alpine Headband (fleece-lined) – pictured below
Nordic Headband (non fleece-lined)
Alpine Hat (fleece-lined)
Alpine Hat (fleece-lined) (some older patterns are 55% off)

Lululemon
You can’t pass up a good lululemon sale! I found several items that were pretty well stocked, but don’t wait too long to purchase them, otherwise they will be gone!
The tights I am wearing in this picture are one of my favorites because the color is a neutral color but something other than black. There is also this really pretty blue color that’s on sale for $69, which is so tempting to get! If you need a warmer long sleeve for your chilly runs, check out this rulu run long sleeve shirt. This sports bra is hands-down my favorite one of all time, and there are some different colors and patterns on sale for $39. I am wearing this high-neck, long-line sports bra for the marathon, and there are a lot on sale for $39 as well. (I love wearing this sports bra for races because it is like a cropped top.) Finally, this Down for It All running vest is great for that in between weather.
Athleta
If there is one item you get for your winter running wardrobe, make it these fleece tights. They are currently on sale for $69, which is a steal from their original $119 price tag. I cannot rave about these enough. They are literally the only tights that actually keep my legs warm in the winter when the temps are below 10*F. They are fleece-lined, super cozy, and you can definitely wear them when walking the dog, playing with the kids outside, or when skiing too!
Old Navy
Everything at Old Navy is at least 30% off. This zip-up sweatshirt (pictured below) has been a staple in my wardrobe for a couple years now, and I put the new ‘wish bone’ color in my basket. You also can’t beat Old Navy’s classic plaid shirts for this time of the year, and this one is 60% off.
These are a couple items from last winter in the picture below, but this is the same sweater in a different color and coat in a different color as well.
Beautycounter
This is Beautycounter’s best sale of the year, so if you want some non-toxic, safer skin care and makeup products, now is the time to stock up or get a few gifts for those hard-to-buy-for people. Everything is 20% off, and if you spend $250 or more, you can save 30%. Also, orders over $50 ship for free, which is something they do not offer very often.
I love this Cheeky Clean Cream Blush (pictured below) for a quick easy-to-apply blush without a brush. The #1 Beautycounter product I recommend to everyone is the Overnight Resurfacing Peel–it helps slough off dead skin cells and reveal brighter and smoother skin. Many people see results in just one use! Also, be sure to grab this eye cream on sale for $60. My last recommendation would be the Sheer Genius Lipstick as another one of my favorites. It is not as thick as regular lipstick–more like a tinted chapstick, which I really like.
Abercrombie
Abercrombie has 30% off everything on their website. I am a sucker for Abercrombie’s jeans, and the jeans pictured below are one of my current favorites. They come in a wide variety of washes, and I have three of the washes. Ha! I want to try this pair as it looks like it is a best seller on the website.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. This was my first Thanksgiving with my family in 15 years! We never traveled to Minnesota while we were living in Alaska for Thanksgiving. I was going to go for a run, but I pushed it to Friday instead. (Friday was going to be my day off, so I just flip-flopped them.) I spent the morning getting a little work done (ahem. . .this blog post), we had lunch together, then the kids watched Ice Age, and we played card games and board games the rest of the afternoon.
Next week I leave for California for CIM! It is getting so close! I’ve already started to peep the weather and am making plans for the weekend. I am looking forward to this marathon more than most of my other marathons (probably because the pressure to run a sub-3 is off since I already did it), but of course I would love to do it again!
I have been following you for years. I am a runner but more on and off. How do you always so motivated? I lose my desire to run sometimes and I hate when that happens. Also why did you guys leave Alaska? I must have missed those posts. Thank you for always sharing your life. It inspires me. I like your style too.
I find goals/races to motivate me and excite me, and I honestly just love the process and getting out every day for my run. We left Alaska because my husband wanted a job change and he now came back to help my parents farm.
