Cullen hasn’t been going to bed until midnight, which doesn’t jive with this girl who is more of an early-bird, but for the time being we just go with the flow, which meant we slept in until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. After being lazy, we took Sadie to the dog park and then went to the coffee shop and played cribbage. I won the first time, and Craig won the second time.
Cullen slept the whole time. He usually takes a 3 hour nap in the afternoon, and he definitely doesn’t mind sleeping in his car seat. I love the little scowl on his face.
Saturday afternoon I went for a run. I ran 3 miles without stopping, so I am definitely making progress. I can feel my abs are still separated and where my incision is. After no running for 4 weeks, and the last couple months of my pregnancy with little running, I can tell my muscular strength has lessened, but I don’t feel like my cardiovascular endurance has suffered as much. I knew it was going to take some time to get back to where left off, but every day is one step closer.
Saturday night we went to an ugly Christmas sweater party. We scoured the local thrift store for the best ugly sweaters we could find. Mine is a little girl’s sweater, and Craig found that gem in the ladies’ section.
I love Cullen’s expression in this picture. His outfit was a hit as well.
Check out the back of his butt-flap long johns.
We brought these Pita Tree Appetizers by Betty Crocker to the party. Craig made them, and he said they were super easy to make. Plus they tasted great and were a hit at the party.
Sunday has been filled with church and getting ready for my parent’s arrival. They arrived tonight and will be here for 10 days. Woohoo!
This is a picture of when they were here during the summer of 2013.
