Friday
Craig and I had our weekly coffee date Friday morning before work at our favorite coffee shop.
I’ve been having pretty much have the same thing for breakfast these days:
– Vanilla Banana Protein Smoothie
– English muffin with peanut butter
– Decaf drip coffee with cream and sugar (Except this—I only have coffee when I go to a coffee shop.)
I watched this video about yogis and laughed my head off.
There is some swearing (which I’m not a fan of), so be careful where you play the video (i.e. work).

I also watched The Bachelor on Hulu while working on our itinerary for Hawaii! π

Saturday
Craig and I got sushi at Kansha Restaurant with a Groupon I purchased last week. I did not take a single picture of our food, but we had fun with our chopsticks.
Sunday
It has been snowing like crazy here. I don’t know where they are going to put all this snow, and inevitably I have to clean off my car every time I want to drive it somewhere. It’s annoying.
With snow outside, soup was on the stove.
I made this Spicy Tomato & Turkey Soup. I had a few bites, and I liked it—didn’t love it, but it was flavorful (with a bit of kick from the crushed red pepper flakes) and light but filling.

Question
What was the highlight of your weekend?
i decided just to wait and watch the bachelor episode 2… i am never really impressed with episode 1 and i will make sure not to miss it tomorrow!!! i do hope ben lives up to my expectations! he is such a cutie! π
Yeah, I didn’t pay attention to the first episode all that much. I never remember what happens anyhow.
Did you like all the crazies on the Bachelor? Good grief! Poor Ben. π
My weekend was great- as it looks like yours was too- but man, I just long for summer. I can’t wait to sleep in and have longer days with more sunshine. Weekends are torture!
Oh- did you have any leftover soup? And if so, was it better the next day (I find that if I’m underwhelmed by soup that I make, it’s always better as leftovers!)
Tell me about it! I need to start a countdown to summer now!
I’m sure the leftovers will taste better. I just wasn’t that impressed with the soup in general.
Weekend highlight was a flight over our area, and a fish fry…yumm! All of a sudden though…I’m craving sushi! : )
Oh, the good ol’ Midwest and their fish fries!
Okay I must confess I would say nothing I was ill with cold but I guess the highlight was when I started feeling better and knew I would survive this ugly cold. That was on Sunday. I didn’t get to do anything I had planned to do.
I’ll have to look at the soup you had. I love your and Craig’s pictures with the chopsticks.
The soup looks GREAT and we love the walrus chopstick photos! We’re loving all of the snow and cold weather, but I’m sure you feel quite differently with all of your running π
Happy New Year!!
