I spent the last few days visiting a good friend in Mitchell, SD.
Yes, that would be the home of the Corn Palace.
The World’s Only . . . . .I might add! π
I love the corny billboards. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist the pun; it was too easy.)
(“Bushels of Fun”)
My friend, Lacey, and I were first-year teachers at the high school when we taught there, so we bonded right away.
It had been two years since I last saw her, but it was like our friendship hadn’t lost a beat.

One day for lunch we ventured downtown to a cute little cafe—Cafe Teresa.
I loved the inside decor and classy vibe.
A historic feel with the brick walls, yet a modern and cozy atmosphere.
I had a delicious mixed green salad with sweet, dried cranberries; walnuts; hearty croutons; and a light, refreshing balsamic vinaigrette dressing.
It was delicious!
That afternoon with a temperature of 90* and high humidity, where does one go?
Why the water park, of course!
We took Lacey’s two kids there.
Payton – 3.5 years old
Charlie – 16 months. . . and my birthday buddy!!
It was SO great to hang out with a good friend again!! I have definitely missed our friendship!!
90 degrees?! What? Send some of that my way.
I am lovin’ it!! I never want to go back to the 50s and 60s in Alaska!
awww! it’s so fun to see old friends π
Lacey’s kids are adorable! I could use a waterpark right about now. Or a beach. π
What a fun visit! π It’s always nice to reconnect with friends!
