Craig and I spent the past four days at his parent’s cabin a couple hours outside of Anchorage. We went snowmobiling, played games, and hung out over the course of the weekend.
Luckily it wasn’t super cold, so I didn’t have to pull out my ninja clothes.
I didn’t take a single picture this weekend, so you’ll just have to use your imagination.
These are the things learned over the course of the weekend:
– Never ride on the back of a snowmobile unless you want to put your back out of place and feel the need to put your life at danger.
– Driving a snowmobile is a lot more enjoyable than riding.
– It is impossible for me to go a day without exercise (specifically running), or I become irritated, crabby, and my appetite and love for food disappears.
– I prefer eating meat no more than once a day.
– Always remember to push your chair in when getting up from the dining room table otherwise a certain pug will claim your food as his.
– With dawn being at 10:00 a.m., it causes you to sleep until 9:00 a.m.
– When 1:00 p.m. rolls around, you start thinking about it getting dark, seeing dusk starts around 3:00 p.m.
– Peeing outside, in an outhouse, in the middle of winter, causes you to rethink your urge to go and hold it longer than you normally would–especially in the middle of the night.
– I can tell the difference between quick-cooking oats and old-fashioned oats. (Old-fashioned oats are way better.)
Funny post! I think I hit my meat wall over break too. I’m used to having meat maybe 4 days a week, and I’m pretty sure it was served at everrrry meal by my parents or my in-laws.
Love the Ninja gear! I agree with you on the not working out thing. I tried to take Sunday completely off because my hip flexor has been bothering me, and it was so hard. I felt grouchy and really lathargic! Happy Happy New Year!
Hahahahaha – that Ninja gear looked so fierce!
Loved it, muhuahaha.
I wish I knew how it is to have such short “days”…
Winter here in Brazil is pretty hot and sunny!
Happy 2011, girl 🙂
I would probably not drink any water if I had to pee in an outhouse! Yikes!
Happy New Year Michelle!

It was a fun weekend Michelle. I hope the next time we go it is just as warm and yes —we will be drivers! Remember– you can always use the “pee pot”!! And yes, pushing your chair in from the dinner table when you get up is a good idea–it also prevents you from wanting to sit down and eat more than you need to!
