Today was a good day, don’t get me wrong, but it seemed to be filled with a lot of “average” things.
It started out with an “average” morning in Alaska: more snow, not much daylight, and cleaning this bugger off before I could go anywhere this morning. One word: “garage.”
Until moving to Alaska, I had never seen people do this with their windshield wipers. Anytime it is snowing—or about to snow—you will see people put their wipers up in the air like this so they don’t freeze to the windshield or get ice build-up on them. It is quite smart if you ask me.

My first stop of the day was to the grocery store for some baking essentials. I’ve got two desserts to make for Christmas parties. I’m quite excited!
Next it was off to the gym for 30 minutes on the stationary bike. It was a veery “average” workout—nothing too strenuous (I have a hard time pushing myself on a stationary bike.), but I did work up a little bit of a sweat. I always surprise myself how easily I zone out on the stationary bike while watching something on HGTV. I just wish it was that easy to zone out while on the treadmill too.
Riding the stationary bike hardly feels like a workout, so I had plans to go to yoga immediately afterwards. I bought a Groupon a while back to Spirit Path Yoga. I paid $50 for 10 sessions, which is not a bad deal.
This morning I went to a Vinaysa Flow class. It was an “average” class—not super hard, not too easy though either. This is the third class I’ve taken at Spirit Path Yoga, and while my experiences have been sufficient, I haven’t been super impressed either.

When I got back home, I was more than ready for lunch.
First up, Amy’s All-American Veggie Burger.
Eh, this was “average”. . . nothing that blew me out of the water but nothing that made me want to chuck it either. I wouldn’t buy these again though.

I also had several purple potatoes from a Full Circle produce box I received a couple weeks ago.
I’ve never had purple potatoes and was surprised they were purple on the inside too.
I tossed them in olive oil, salt, and a herb seasoning blend prior to roasting them in the oven at 400* for 30 minutes. Once again very “average.” Probably because I’m not a huge fan of potatoes.
I’ve also had two cucumbers sitting in my fridge from a Full Circle Farms produce box, and since I hate letting things go to waste, I had to find a way to use them up.

The result:
Kind of odd, so once again: “average.”

Other random things that are BETTER than “average:”
* My new favorite running blog: (What I Wore) On My Run
fashion + running. . . . love it!
* A new nail polish I picked up at Target yesterday. I’m excited to try it out!

* Best book I’ve read recently:
You Just Don’t Understand: Women and Men in Conversation
All ladies and gentlemen out there MUST read this. The information is mind-blowing, and I’m tried to figure out why we weren’t taught these things in school. . . .couples would be able to understand each other so much better!
