A couple years ago I was reading a pregnancy blog post where the blogger had purchased a pair of designer maternity jeans. I thought they looked super cute and vowed to splurge on a pair of my own since having a big round belly to carry around isn’t the easiest thing to dress up or look cute in—especially when I am very conscientious about my weight to begin with.
I thought about purchasing a pair of jeans online but that’s pretty risky. And I’m too cheap to pay $200 for a pair of new jeans, so I stopped at The Clothesline consignment store in town. I was just going to go in and try a few different brands on to get an idea of what size I was, but surprisingly I actually found a pair that fit perfectly! I scored these Paige jeans for a fraction of the cost.
After nine months with no curtains on our bedroom windows, it was time to get some blackout curtains since we do live in the land of the midnight sun. I am really digging these curtains from West Elm. I found the Pinwheel Linen Curtain on sale and ordered the blackout curtains to keep the sun out of our eyes. I did have to purchase the blackout curtains separately from the actual curtains and buy a double curtain rod, which was kind of a pain, but I do like how they look.
I purchased this Shiseido Ibuki Refining Moisturizer at Sephora earlier this spring. At first I wasn’t sure what to think of it, but I really like it now. I had Pilosophy’s Hope in a Jar lotion, but Craig kept complaining about how awful it smelled. (I purchased it on Amazon, so it may have been expired, which is why it smelled so bad?) Based off the Sephora employee’s recommendation, I bought this lotion instead and am very satisfied.
I’ve raved about Nuun before, but I had to say again how much I love these electrolyte tablets by Nuun. I’ve never had a flavor I didn’t like, and they are especially beneficial in the summer when you are sweating more than usual.
I pinned a picture of a DIY fireplace on Pinterest two years ago and waited until the day we owned our own house and could build a fireplace like the one in this blog post. Craig purchased the stones and arranged them around the base of this enclosed firepit that was a hand-me-down from my in-laws. I hope it stops raining so we can use it soon!
I’ve started a Facebook page for my blog, so be sure to like The Runner’s Plate, so you can stay up-to-date on what is happening!
i love those curtains!
