How to Achieve Super Curly Eyelashes

Today’s run:

Distance: 7 miles

Time: 57:35

Average pace: 8:13 minutes/mile

I was definitely feeling the effects from yesterday’s two-a-day this morning. (I also slept like a rock because of it!) I thought I was doggin’ it during my run, but I was surprised my pace stayed right around 8:00 the whole time.

It was 58* with 80% humidity and this girl still manages to get goose bumps somehow. Ha!

But I really did sweat! (That is supposed to be a picture of my holding the ends of my sopping wet hair.)

Listen up, I have the ultimate beauty tip for acheiving ultra curly eyelashes! I learned this tip from my sister and can’t believe I haven’t shared it with you yet because I use it every single day!

I have always used an eye lash curler to curl my lashes. I cannot stand the look of my lashes not being curled, so the eye lash curler is one of my favorite beauty tools. While the eye lash curler does a very good job of curling my lashes, I have found an even better way to achieve ultra curly lashes.

The trick is to heat up the eye lash curler with the heat from a blow dryer before curling them. They seriously go from curly to SUPER curly. I even curled them too much with this method, so be careful.

I simply hold the eyelash curler in front of the hot air from the hair dryer for just a few seconds—turning it so hot air gets on both sides of the eyelash curler. (I’m not sure if this is really necessary.) Also, be advised, the hotter the eye lash curler, the curlier the eyelashes. Then I proceed to curl my eyelashes with the eyelash curler as I normally do.

Side story: When I first started using an eyelash curler, I used it backwards. I would hold it so the curved part was pointing into my eye. I know I did this for several years before I figured it out. I probably saw a picture in a magazine and realized my mistake. Oops!

Hi, I'm Michelle

I love running around the lakes of Minnesota, running after my two boys, and racing anything from the 5K to the marathon. I have been blogging here since 2010 when I ran my first marathon. I finally secured my sub-3 hour marathon after trying for 8 years.
