I was way too sore from the half-marathon this past weekend to run on Monday and Tuesday morning.
I really wanted to get back to running this morning—I was itching to go!—but my legs said otherwise. I attempted to run for 10 minutes, but my legs weren’t cooperating, so I switched to the bike.
I definitely was not able to go fast on my bike, so I took it quite slow and enjoyed the scenery.
The sun coming up over the mountains! It is so cool when the clouds are below the mountains!
This is my favorite time of the day! 🙂
I wanted to stay on my bike all day long and not go to work! But unfortunately duty called.

When I come home after work, I do not want to spend a lot of time preparing dinner. Usually when I get home, I am starving and have no patience to wait for something to cook or bake for a long period of time. This means I have been picking very easy, quick meals for dinner lately—or making things ahead of time.
Last night for dinner, Craig and I worked together to make this Cheesy Zucchini Pizza courtesy of Jenna at Eat Live Run.
I made this meal last year when zucchinis were in season and knew I would be making it again this year!
I don’t often repeat recipes unless they are a standout!
I made the dough the night before and followed this recipe.
Sweet potato fries with minced garlic on the side. Craig says he likes them better with the added garlic!
Seriously! This is so good and so easy!! You must make it as soon as possible!!
Question
What is your favorite part of the day?
The morning, without a doubt. I coach in the mornings and it’s so nice to be out–there’s no traffic, no loud noise, and I’ve got tons of energy. Mornings are so productive.
I always work out in the mornings, too, because if I wait until afternoon I’m almost guaranteed to skip it.
i love mornings, and really late nights…basically when all the world’s quiet. so relaxing!
That pizza looks great!! I’m think I’m going to put ricotta and zucchini on my grocery list for next week to try it. 🙂
I’m one of those creepy morning people. Most of the time I don’t even need an alarm and am rolling out of bed before 6 am comes around.
Mornings and I are not friends. My favorite time is 8pm, when I’m ready to relax, read, watch a movie, and no children are awake 🙂
By far my favorite 2 parts of the day are Sunrise and Dusk 🙂
