I have landed in The Last Frontier again, but I was not excited to come back.

My flight left at 7:40 a.m. CST (central standard time) from Minnesota, and we landed in Anchorage at 10:10 a.m. AKST (Alaska Standard Time). (Did you know Alaska has its own time zone!?!?)
Since my body thought it was 1:10 p.m. when we landed, food was a priority—especially since I only had a (small) granola bar, an apple, and a couple handfuls of cereal to eat for breakfast. I was starving!
I had a coupon for a free Subway sandwich, so I figured this was a good time to use it, seeing our cupboards hadn’t been restocked!
I’m not a huge fan of Subway, but I’m not going to pass up a free sandwich.
I ordered the Subway Club with pretty much all the fixings. I’ve gotta get my money’s worth.

I spent the rest of the day:
- unpacking,

- doing laundry,
- organizing my things,
- and grocery shopping.

It feels good to have everything back in its place. I can live out of a suitcase for a while, but it gets old.

One thing I am glad to have back is my own kitchen (despite its severely out-dated look), and the opportunity to cook my own food again.
I tried to stick to a fairly-healthy diet while I was in Minnesota, but since that wasn’t always the case, I was happy to get a Green Monster back in my life tonight.

I also had snacked on some Newman’s Own organic pretzels.
These are probably the best pretzels I’ve ever had, and they don’t contain any weird ingredients. Love that!

As for running, I took today as a rest day because I knew it would be hard with traveling and then wanting to get unpacked and organized, but I will definitely be at it again tomorrow!
Here’s a recap on my mileage from last week (7/4 -7/10):
Monday: 7 miles
Tuesday: 4 miles
Wednesday: 8 miles
Thursday: 4 miles
Friday: 0 miles
Saturday: 12 miles
Sunday: 5 miles
Total: 40 miles
I am really happy I hit 40 miles this last week—especially since I am recovering faster than after my first marathon!
It is time for me to go to bed since my body thinks it is 1:00 a.m. CST, and I’ve been up since 2 a.m. AST.
