You guys have no idea how excited I am!! As I read various blogs, I pay attention to particular brands of food that several people eat, and the Chobani brand of greek yogurt seems to dominate. For several months, I have searched high and low in Anchorage for Chobani yogurt since so many people rave about it.
Well, I have finally found it!!
I was SO excited. Plus, it was on sale–and I had a coupon from Chobani’s website!! (You can find the coupon here.) The original price was $1.99 but it was on sale for 2/$3, and my coupon was for Buy 2, Get 1 Free. I was only going to get 3, but since there were 4 flavors, I couldn’t decide, so I just picked up one of each flavor. This means I paid an average of $1.13 for each one!! Love it!!
Check out the Nutrition Facts:
- 140 calories
- very little sodium
- 19 grams of sugar (which is a moderate amount–many brands have 30+ grams)
- and 14 grams of protein!
The higher amount of protein (compared to “regular” yogurt) is the biggest reason I eat Greek yogurt. I don’t eat a lot of meat in my diet, so I have to find other sources.
Now I just have to decide which flavor to eat first!!
Last night, I suggested to Craig we head to Sugarspoon for a little treat. He quickly agreed! Sugarspoon it a pretty hip and trendy dessert shop with some amazing sweet treats!!
Raspberry Lemon Panna Cotta
Forbidden Black Rice Pudding
Description: Cooked in coconut milk & cardamom, with strawberry lime sauce
This dessert is so divine! It is a combination of black rice; warm, sweet strawberry sauce; and toasted coconut. We have had this before and has become a favorite of our’s.
